La Takemata Katana è sostanzialmente inadatta alla pratica dello iaido a causa del peso eccessivo (indicato oggi in modo corretto a differenza del momento nel quale la avevo ordinata) e dello sfavorevole rapporto tra lama e tsuka inoltre la saia non è in legno laccato e la posizione del kurigata è sfavorevole.
