After searching for a good second gi I found this oni model. First I was scared by the price, but when reading up on the pros of hemp vs cotton I really wanted to give this gi an honest shot.

On arrival and unpacking you can already tell the material is very soft. I was used to heavy cotton but this fabric is surprisingly heavy as well.

In use, the gi feels like a second skin. It's like it's hardly there. Unrestricted movement during warmup, kata, weapon training, tumbling. Just wont be able to review grappling due to the covid situation.

So far I am very happy with it.

Purchased the ONI Keikogi a while ago and having used it for some time now I can without a shred of doubt say that this is the best GI hands down you can get! I love YNZ products but man, this one is beyond expectations. It's really like wearing a second skin, light yet resistant and durable and the fabric does feel nice. Absolutely can't recommend it enough.すごい だと!

The kimono is a very good quality. I was a bit afraid it would be gray/black but not at all: it is pure black :)
The fabric is very souple yet looks very resistant (we'll see after a few months of training how it ages).
However, it is quite wide around the legs and around the arms. I'll see if it fits better after a few washes.
My recommendation: always take a size smaller than your actual size! I'm 1.67m tall and I chose the smallest size available 1.60m, and it's just right.
It is an expensive kimono, but it looks very high quality. I will see after a few months / years how it ages, and if that was worth the money.

It might appear expensive however it's well worth the money. Excellent construction, cooler in the Japanese summer time (which is extremely humid. Hemp is SO much better than cotton. There''s a big difference.), super strong and plenty of room. If you are serious about training save the extra money and make the investment in this good quality Gi. The customer service was excellent and quick.

I decided to get myself a really good gi for training and I was recommended to look into Yarinohanzo. Best decision ever. Beautiful material, excellent fit and extraordinary quality. This is what you want. Excellent service, by the way.

I'm in love! If you are pondering wether to spent the money...Just buy this beauty!!! Hemp is expensive and this is the finest hemp-linen I ever put on my skin. A lot of thought, love and italian artisanal craft skill went into designing this keikogi. I have to refrain myself from ordering a second one immediately only because I want to see what improvements will go into the next generation. This is a genuinely close to excellence product. Was wearing it after the delivery arrived and was asked by people about the gi, if it was a traditional clothing and where I got it. You can't go wrong and will not regret it (-;

A stylish high quality gi.

I really love my new hemp dōgi. It’s quality is super high.
First, the fabric does indeed wear in very nicely. It feels like linen. It’s light, soft, fluid, strong and feels like pajamas! Soooooo comfortable. Fits well and never feels stiff or cardboardy.
I was not only very impressed with the fabric itself, it also has a beautiful “traditional” cut.
I honestly think that this dōgi will give me a ridiculous amount of training time.
This dōgi is worth every penny and I would suggest you try to snag it before it’s too late as it is a limited edition release.
